The Trial

Dear Journal,
Today was a very stressful but relieving day. We arrived at the court and there stood Shylock ready to have a pound of flesh from Antonio. He was about to cut it from his chest when the Judge stoped him after reading the bond very carfully and it said that not one drop of blood could be drawn. That hesitated Shylock, who ended up not getting the pound of flesh ebcuase it was too risky.
After the trial, many pounds of stress were releaved and i felt like one of the luckiest guy in the world. Shylock was told that he had to convert his ways intothe Christan lifestyle. This day couldnt get much better...

The Ship's mishap

Dear Journal,
Antonio had recieved a letter today including the fact that the ships had been wrecked/sunk. Trying to get the money to pay back Shylock would be a hassle. This was now our nightmare. Antonio has to now think about what he could do to pay shylock the money back, or else Shylock will take a pound of flesh ( look at the information about act 3). Bassanio is very worried and feels guilty about his best friend being at risk. The trial is comming up and the thought of Antonio being hurt is just killing me.

The bond

Dear Journal,

Today was the day that Antonio sealed to such a bond for me. This was very exciting, although i feel quite guilty becuase Antonio's life is now at stake. Bassanio had asked for three thousand duckets that Shylock, the Jewish merchant, gave Antonio as part of the bond. Now that i have the money i need to go and pick the right casket so that i can have Portia.

Meet Bassanio

I am Bassanio.
I live in Venice, Italy.
I am a nice, but poor gentlemen that picked the right casket to become Portia suitor. My best friend is Antonio who agreed to a bond, to risk his own life for me just so I could get the money needed to get Portia.
